My name is David M. Coleman, and I'm a hobbyist web developer and graphic design artist with a passion for storytelling and visual creativity. Inspired by high fantasy, DreamWorks animation, and the immersive world of Tolkien, I dream of becoming a multi-published author. I love crafting narratives that blend epic adventure with surreal and whimsical elements, drawing from my favorite stories to create something uniquely my own. Whether through design, writing, or digital art, I’m always looking for new ways to bring my ideas to life.

The worlds of Tolkien’s Middle-Earth and Paolini’s Alagaësia made me love big, lived-in stories. Music pulls the same thread. Nightwish’s symphonic sweep and Avenged Sevenfold’s punch keep my head banging. And somewhere between dragons and down-tuned guitars, a lavender unicorn took root: Twilight Sparkle. Her curiosity, discipline, and growth made “friendship” feel like a craft you practice, not just a theme you quote.
I make things on the web. I started with Freewebs, learned by pulling apart WordPress themes, and moved into building my own and experimenting with headless setups. These days I work with modern stacks like Next.js and Astro, choosing the right tool for speed, clarity, and maintainability. Games are another workshop: modded Skyrim and Fallout for open-ended tinkering, Half-Life and Portal for laser-cut design. Together they shape how I think about systems, worldbuilding, and player (or reader) agency.
Once I pictured life on the road in a Volkswagen van; now I want a quiet cabin in the Pacific Northwest. Evergreens, long projects, slow mornings. The common thread through all of it is simple: keep learning, keep making, and keep telling stories that invite people in.
